If you think about your thighs and worry about unsightly dimples when trying on bathing suits…you are not alone. In fact, nearly 90% of all woman are affected by cellulite.
What is cellulite?
The term cellulite refers to the dimpled appearance of the skin that some people have on their hips, thighs, and buttocks. This appearance is much more common in women than in men because of differences in the way fat, muscle, and connective tissue are distributed in men and women’s skin. The lumpiness of cellulite is caused by fat deposits that push and distort the connective tissues beneath skin, leading to the characteristic changes in appearance of the skin.
What causes cellulite?
The dimpled appearance of cellulite can be considered to be a normalvariant — one way that many perfectly normal human beings look. Heredity, skin thickness, gender, the amount and distribution of body fat, and age can all influence the extent to which cellulite is present or visible. While cellulite is more common in women than men, men can also be affected. Cellulite occurs in people of all races living all around the globe. Although female hormones may play a role in contributing to this pattern of fat distribution, cellulite is not treatable by hormone therapy.
How Does Lipodissolve treat Cellulite:
This less-invasive alternative to liposuction slowly dissolves the deposits with injections of fat-dissolving substances. The body naturally eliminates the residue over the following 3 to 4 weeks. There is a short recovery period allowing a quick return to normal activities and it is very cost effective compared to alternative treatments involving surgery.
Lipodissolve and mesotherapy treatments consist of small injections of a natural soy bean lecithin and enzymes that is highly effective for dissolving the small, stubborn fat deposits that resist diet and exercise. The treatments consist of a series of small injections into the target areas of localized fat. Injection lipolysis (another name for Lipodissolve) will also reduce the size of unsightly lipomas – smooth, round benign tumors of fatty tissue.
Lipodissolve is an excellent method for smoothing the skin and eliminating fat deposits, within a clinical setting. You can obtain results in usually 3 to 8 treatments. It is a quick office procedure and any side effects such as temporary bruising, itching and soreness are minimal and temporary. Most patients lose 1 to 3 inches around their waistline.
Over the past 10 years, doctors in South America, South Africa and Europe have successfully used mesotherapy procedures on hundreds of thousands of patients The areas that respond best to Lipodissolve treatment – in those who are not excessively overweight – are certain stubborn fat deposits that resist further reduction after diet and exercise. These include double chins, the abdomen, love handles, backs of arms, thigh saddlebags, knees, and wings (the area on the back, just beside the under arms).
An experienced practicitioner is best when seeking advice or treatment in areas of medicine such as these.
